Bonaventure boys explore the art world

Under the tutorage of Outreach Instructor for the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, Aston Ebanks, the Bonaventure Boys Home Art Outreach Programme is thriving once more.

Kindly sponsored by Rotary Club of Grand Cayman it takes place at the home in West Bay every Thursday afternoon from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

"The challenges never stop coming," said Mr Ebanks.

"Every Thursday for two hours I try to hold the interest of four incorrigible boys at the Bonaventure Boys Home. Covering topics from painting to line drawing and photography I've been trying to instill in them the importance art plays in our every day life by first recognizing that we are constantly surrounded by it."

Mr Ebanks said that the youngsters have been far afield in pursuit of their work.
